Blog Your Way to Success in Your Home Based Business
In the previous article we talked about the importance of having your blog as the “hub” to entertain your prospects and let them find out more about you.
With this article we are going to focus on the importance of writing great content. Keep this concept in mind, you are in a legitimate home based business opportunity to make money. If you are not making money then you are running a non profit business and you won’t be in business too long.
Understand I am not saying that your sole focus is to just make money and don’t care about your prospects or anyone else.
Now let’s tackle the whole idea of writing great content. We’ve all heard the saying that content is king. People don’t want a sales pitch but they want to read or hear something of value to them. That is exactly what you want to deliver on your home based business opportunity blog.
Many people say that they don’t know where they can find ideas on writing great content for their blog. That is easy. Just open your eyes. Think about all the life lessons that you have learned with your home based business. Think about the questions you had when you first got started, the obstacles you faced, etc. Do not forget to keep your target audience in mind when researching.
Read articles and watch videos on business matters that you don’t understand (i.e. ppc, seo, building websites, traffic techniques). One of my favorites is to take life experiences and write about how it relates to my business. Once you do a little bit of research you now have information that you can blog about. Why is this important?
Because most people in general will not take the extra step to do this. So since you took the time and learned something new, you are now more of an expert than the other person. Once you position yourself as an expert you will attract others to you.
Its weird but people like for others to have the courage to tell them what to do. With the internet at your fingertips you will never be without great content to write. Make sure that you don’t plagiarize but you put everything in your own words. Google doesn’t like duplicate content and it will hurt your chances in getting ranked in the search engine for the keywords that you want.
